Mixed media paintings that were part of the Time-Life book, Baseball: The National Pastime in Art and Literature. The collection included short stories, poetry and personal memoirs from the likes of John Updike, W.P. Kinsella, Roger Angell, Stephen King and A. Bartlett Giamatti. The writing is accompanied by paintings, drawings, sculpture and photography gathered from museums and private collections, with the artists ranging from Jacob Lawrence, Claes Oldenburg and Elaine de Kooning to Charles Conlon and Andy Warhol.
